Hyundai New Zealand has issued a recall campaign (21D024) for MY22 Santa Fe vehicles which were sold by its dealership network in 2021. The recall relates to a potential concern with the vehicle’s Supplementary Restraint System (SRS-Airbag System), in particular the front passenger side pyrotechnic-type seat belt pretensioner.

German authorities have raided multiple Hyundai and Kia premises harboring suspicions that they have fitted emissions defeat devices to over 210,000 diesel vehicles. According to a statement, illegal engine management software was used to cheat emissions tests in a lab environment.
